The glyphs are not words — they are references to other glyphs, which reference still others, forming a chain of meaning that began long before the first paper was pressed.
To unlock it, you must understand not what the symbols mean individually, but how they relate to one another within the tradition. The system is the answer. The tradition is the map.

Read the Codex in the order it was written — not the order it appears on the page. Tradition has a sequence.
Each glyph is a reference to another glyph. Map the connections before you attempt the sequence.
The final key is always hidden in the first line. The Hierophant circles back to beginnings.
